Chancellor’s Research Fellowship 2024 Awarded to Dr. Lizhao Song from SEDE
Warmest congratulations to Dr. Lizhao Song and her supervisor Prof. Jay Guo on this great achievement!
University announces ten recipients of the UTS Chancellor's Research Fellowships (CRF) for 2024. Dr. Song secured one position for our school, SEDE, with two other winners at BE and CEE.
Dr. Song completed her PhD study at UTS in 2022 under the supervision of A/Prof. Peiyuan Qin and Prof. Jay Guo. She then joined CSIRO as a postdoctoral fellow. During her research journey, Dr. Song received several international awards and national awards to recognise her tremendous contribution in electromagnetic analysis and modelling, antennas, terahertz applications, and communications, such as the 2022 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) Fellowships in 2022 as the only female awardee in Australia and the Mojgan Daneshmand Grant for Women in 2021.
Dr. Song will commence her research in 2024 on the adaptive terahertz antenna systems for inter-satellite communications. The research outcome will significantly enhance UTS’s international standing in THz and space communications.
