We are a collaborative, internationally recognised team of environmental scientists within the School of Life Sciences at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), based in the Faculty of Science. Our research drives scientific innovation and fosters sustainable partnerships with industry, government, and community stakeholders to address pressing environmental challenges.

The Environmental Sciences Discipline Group investigates the rich biodiversity of both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, exploring how plants and animals interact with each other and their environments, and how ecosystems function. Our goal is to make a meaningful and lasting contribution to environmental science by advancing solutions for managing climate change, reducing human impacts on biodiversity, and promoting the restoration and long-term sustainability of natural ecosystems.

We are also deeply committed to nurturing a diverse and supportive student community. Through both undergraduate and postgraduate education, we are shaping the next generation of environmental scientists equipped to lead in research, policy, and practice for a more sustainable future.
