INSIGHT members form part of an ambitious, transdisciplinary intellectual network. Our multi-faculty and partnered approach to research development draws in expertise from across UTS and beyond to generate new knowledge.

Who can apply

Membership is open to all UTS staff, external partners and community stakeholders who can demonstrate a commitment to addressing complex and persistent population health and wellbeing challenges.

Application process

Individuals interested in becoming an INSIGHT member are required to complete a membership application form. The form takes approximately 10 minutes.

Applicants will be asked to briefly describe how their experience and/or future plans are aligned with INSIGHT’s work and identify research areas of interest.

Membership applications can be endorsed by an existing INSIGHT member and, for UTS applicants, includes the opportunity for your supervisor to support your application.

INSIGHT’s Executive Committee approves all membership applications in consultation with relevant research leaders from across the Institute.

Why become a member of INSIGHT?

Susan Morton on ‘What is INSIGHT? In less than a minute!

When we think about solving health issues, we often defer to the field of health research. But actually, when we think about the complex and entrenched health issues that are facing our population today, really the problems occur because of a multitude of exposures over time to many different factors occurring across the life course.

So if we're going to find new ways to find new solutions to some of these health issues that we have faced for decades, we actually need to come together across traditional silos.

So if you're someone who is driven to make a difference to people's lives, if you want to improve population wellbeing, then become a member of INSIGHT.

Join us coming together across disciplines to actually make change for our populations.

Health and wellbeing.
