Sustainable, economic and socially responsible development
The Social and Economic Development in Property and Construction Research Stream specialises in research spanning the construction, infrastructure, real estate, and housing sectors. We address critical challenges, including workforce diversity, housing affordability, corporate social responsibility, accessibility, sustainable and social procurement, industry reform, environmental sustainability, green financing, circular economies, and market analysis.
By integrating research with practical applications, our mission is to empower policymakers, businesses, and communities to drive sustainable, socially responsible development. We aim to promote social equity, enhance climate resilience, and improve environmental, social, and governance (ESG) outcomes.
Through collaboration with industry stakeholders and community organisations, we address systemic barriers, developing innovative solutions that advance workforce inclusion, tackle housing crises, and improve sustainability practices. Our work delivers transformative change and long-term social and economic benefits.
