Project details

Digital media objects can be evocative objects and act as ‘mementos’ that help reconstruct memories, which connect everyday experiences with the past, elicit storytelling, and facilitate self-reflection on past life events.

This research project focuses on a digital memento in video form or video content on social networks and aims to study people’s personal experiences with video as part of their remembering practices and to provide insights that will help open up new design opportunities for new visualization systems. To spark new ideas for innovation to preserve personal data from the past for reminiscing, sharing personal experiences, and remembering purposes.
