The Australian Facility for Taphonomic Experimental Research (AFTER) and Surgical and Anatomical Science Facility provide world-class environments for forensic research, training, and human anatomical investigation, supporting advances in death investigation, forensic practice, education, and scientific discovery.

Consultancy

The Centre for Forensic Science (CFS) provide consultancies, forensic testing and expert opinion services for legal firms and government agencies seeking independent expertise, guidance and support for arguments in court. Non-exhaustive examples include:

  • Forensic analysis of trace materials and miscellaneous substances
  • Forensic analysis of fire debris
  • Enhancement of marks, including fingermarks
  • Interpretation of forensic evidence, including DNA
  • Forensic report review.
