UTS welcomes students from a variety of diverse backgrounds to our campus and community.

We support students

Where barriers to study exist, we support students – and future students – to realise their potential at UTS.

The Humanitarian Scholarship Program exists to support undergraduate study for students from a refugee or asylum seeker background. Many of these students are unable to access Commonwealth Supported Places or government loan schemes due to visa status.

It is not just a scholarship. The program includes comprehensive support for students throughout their study, covering:

  • Assistance with tuition fees and educational costs
  • Support with transition and on-boarding
  • Peer and academic mentoring
  • Paid internship opportunities
  • Graduate career help
