UTS Research Excellence Scholarship
$40,000 per annum
Funded by the Commonwealth Government Department of Education and Training, these scholarships are offered each year to highly-ranked, newly commencing doctoral students. The scholarships are valued at up to $30,000 per annum for a period of up to three years.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for an RES Stipend, a student must:
- be undertaking a Doctoral Research Degree (PhD) at the University in the year of the RES (Stipends are not available to applicants whose enrollment into a Doctoral Research Degree (PhD) has not been accepted by the University); and
- be enrolled as a full-time student.
Applications are assessed against the following criteria:
Academic merit of the applicant;
Research and other relevant experience of the applicant;
Publications record of the applicant; and
Relevance of the proposed research to the University's research strengths
