ARIA – Bionic Visual-Spatial Prosthesis for the Blind, NHMRC
Evaluating the human factors of using a wearable audio rendering device to assist people who are visually impaired. This project aim to support future preclinical evaluations, build early prototypes, undertake preclinical trials, and prepare for future clinical trials.
AI-Human Empowered Team Decision-Making, Australia Research Council
This project aims to introduce machine intelligence into human team decision-making using the brain-to-brain synchrony that arises when people cooperate toward achieving a goal.
NeuroGame: Can Neuromodulation of Brain Rhythms Relieve Chronic Pain?, NHMRC
The objective of this endeavour is to create a biofeedback system that utilises brain-computer interfaces, virtual reality, game technology, and AI to alleviate chronic pain.
Fluent Mobility for the Blind Individual Using Multimodal Auditory Sensory Augmentation, NHMRC
Fluency in blind users' mobility arises from access to an appropriate flow of sensory information, subtle control over the sensory information flow, and natural interaction. Any unimodal sensory augmentation system will fail to provide sufficient fluency, therefore this project proposes a multimodal sensory augmentation system using smart glasses and gesture control to improve fluency in mobility and orientation for blind individuals.
