Our fourth Green Light Accelerator Cohort showed algae leaders, experts and academics how promising the future of algae startups and SMEs are at the recent Green Light Pitch Showcase.

First launched in 2018, the Green Light Accelerator is the world's first algae biotechnology accelerator program, and is dedicated to supporting the development of algae solutions, products and services in NSW in a broad range of industries. And this year cohort did not disappointment, with our 5 teams presenting their engaging pitches to a jammed packed room full of algae admirers.

With over 100 people attending the Pitch Showcase, the audience had the opportunity to hear some truly innovative, boundary pushing algae solutions, and ask a range questions, and offer invaluable advice.

Green Light focuses on meeting the sustainability challenges of the 21st century, a kick-start and support network for entrepreneurs to build their modern solutions, all while utilising algae. Previous teams have pushed the boundary to create new sustainable, algae driven solutions, ranging from specialist health food, skincare products, and beer brewing, and our fourth cohort was no different.

Green Light has given us a tremendous amount of support as we;ve turned our dreams and ideas into reality.

[Music]

The opportunities that we've got that are happening with the green light is massive. We've got to start these new starrtups, they have a really supportive industry that takes them forward and thsi is what tonight's about.

There are a lot of people in aquaculture within Australia that I haven't had an opportunity to meet I've met some of them here which is already really exciting. The amount of knowledge I've gotten in the last 30 minutes is more than I can get within weeks of emailing people.

It's been really amazing because they provide these expertise at this stage. That is so important and can really be a game changer for them.

To be given an opportunity to work with some incredible science mentors and business developers we feel that Green Light has given us amazing support.
