Why is podcasting a great medium to tackle hard topics? How can you translate social issues and policy into engaging interviews and stories? How can podcasts be part of the conversation around disadvantage and inequality in Australia, and even create change?

Join the Executive Producer of the Life's Lottery podcast, Olivia Rosenman, along with the Manager of UTS Impact Studios, Dr Sarah Gilbert, for a chat about how podcasts can help confront tough issues like disadvantage in Australia.

Where: Yirranma Place, 262 Liverpool St, Darlinghurst

My Darling Darlinghurst

When: 10 November 2022, 4pm-5pm

Where: Yirranma Place, 262 Liverpool St, Darlinghurst

Community Archives

When: 1 December 2022, 4pm-5pm

Where: Yirranma Place, 262 Liverpool St, Darlinghurst

Who gets forgotten and who is heard in the historical record is partly thanks to the archive and what records have been preserved. We’ve invited some of Darlinghurst’s wonderful local archivists who are doing their best to record and uncover the many voices of those who have lived and loved in Darlinghurst. At this event you'll hear from Deborah Beck (NAS), Shannon Biederman (SJM), Prue Heath (SCEGGS) and Anne Cooke (St Vincent's Hospital).
