Wear it Purple Day 2022 is occurring on Friday 26 AugustIt's a day dedicated to showing LGBTIQA+ young people that they are seen and supported. Keen to get involved in Wear it Purple Day? Here are a few ways you can display your allyship on the day and beyond.

Show your support from home

  • Wear purple – it could be as simple as a pin or ribbon, or as extravagant as dressing in purple head-to-toe! 

  • Show your support over Zoom – Visit the Wear It Purple website and download their backgrounds.

Make your support visible

  • Show your support by posting pics of yourself, your friends or your pets rocking purple accessories on socials. Don't forget to tag #WearItPurple and #UTSForAll.

Educate yourself

Wear it Purple Day picnic w/ the UTS Queer Collective

When: Friday 26 August, 3pm
Where: UTS Alumni Green

All are welcome! BYO picnic blanket. There will also be vegan purple cupcakes and a photobooth.

Create change

Visit the Wear It Purple 'Resources' webpage to access materials, information, and guides to promote the day, as well as to learn about how you can better support the LGBTIQA+ community.
