UTS Law is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 Michael Whitbread Prize, a unique opportunity supporting students to experience the practice of law on an international stage.
This annual travel grant, valued at up to $3,000, enables one Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor student to undertake a four‑week internship.
In 2026, the successful recipient will complete their placement with Gleiss Lutz in Germany, gaining invaluable insight into global legal practice and expanding their professional networks abroad.
The prize reflects UTS Law’s commitment to creating transformative learning experiences that help students connect their studies with the broader legal community, both locally and internationally. It is designed for students who are passionate about justice and the practice of law, particularly those who may not yet have had the chance to see legal work in action.
