Raising the profile of quantum programs at UTS

QSI core members Director Prof Michael Bremner, Research Director Prof Simon Devitt, and Dr Luke Mathieson, together with Prof Christopher Poulton from the Faculty of Science, represented UTS at the Quantum Future Talent: Open Day & Careers Fair, hosted by the Sydney Quantum Academy (SQA) on 15 July 2025.

The event offered two sessions: a morning Open Day for school students, parents, career planners, and an afternoon Careers Fair for undergraduates, postgraduates, and career changers.

At the event, QSI researchers successfully promoted UTS’s quantum education opportunities to students and potential industry collaborators – highlighting undergraduate courses in quantum technology, Honours and postgraduate research pathways, and SQA scholarship opportunities available through QSI at UTS.

The engagement helped raise the profile of UTS’s quantum programs and demonstrated the impact of QSI at UTS as a key contributor to Australia’s rapidly growing quantum ecosystem.
