The Faculty of Engineering and IT recently marked significant milestones for its transnational education program of Master of Engineering Management (MEM) with two graduation ceremonies held in SILC Business School in Shanghai, a joint institution co-founded by Shanghai University (SHU) and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). The MEM program is hosted by UTS Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology where many of its related areas such as AI, Telecommunications, Water Resources, Electronics and Computer Science) top major world ranking systems like Times Higher Education World University Ranking and QS World University Ranking. This year, these ceremonies celebrated the achievements of 66 students who have successfully completed the program.

The ceremonies were honoured by the presence of Professor Andrew Parfitt, UTS‘s Vice Chancellor; Mr Iain Watt, UTS Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (International), Professor Peta Wyeth, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and IT; Professor Nie, Qing, Vice President of SHU, Professor Lyu, Kangjuan, Party Secretary and Chairwoman of SILC, and other distinguished academics and guests from UTS and SHU, highlighting the importance of this program and the high regard it is held in the market. Now equipped with advanced engineering management skills, the graduates are poised to significantly contribute to their respective fields. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to each of them and look forward to their future successes.

In addition to the graduation ceremonies, the UTS delegation also attended two highly successful alumni events, one in Shanghai and one in Beijing. Each event attracted about 200 alumni with many from UTS SILC MEM programs, showcasing the strong engagement and vibrant community of UTS graduates in China.

These alumni events provided a platform for networking, sharing experiences, and reinforcing the bonds within the UTS community. The enthusiasm and dedication of our alumni were evident, reflecting their ongoing commitment to the values and spirit of UTS.

The Faculty of Engineering and IT is proud of its graduates and grateful for the continued support of our alumni. These events not only celebrated the achievements of our students but also strengthened the global UTS network.
