Want a career in quantum technology?

Applications close 2 October. Visit bit.ly/SQAPhDR9-ptnr

Seize the opportunity to pursue your passion and boost your career prospects with a Sydney Quantum Academy PhD Scholarship. Conduct research under the guidance of world-leading experts across four partner universities:  UNSW, University of Sydney, University of Technology Sydney, and Macquarie University.

As a scholarship recipient, you’ll gain access to the SQA PhD Experience Program. You'll engage in interdisciplinary coursework across the partner universities, fostering robust connections among students and researchers. Benefit from career development funds, specialised training sessions, seminars, networking events, and the opportunity to collaborate with prominent quantum science and technology organisations and experts in Australia.

Have the opportunity to publish your research

By applying to study a SQA PhD with QSI, you'll have the opportunity to publish your research. See below for some recent cutting edge quantum research papers SQA PhD students have published alongside their QSI supervisors:

  • 'Parameterized Complexity of Weighted Local Hamiltonian Problems and the Quantum Exponential Time Hypothesis', by SQA PhD student Mauro Morales and QSI's Prof Michael Bremner, Prof Zhengfeng Ji and Dr Luke Mathieson

  • 'Explicability and Inexplicability in the Interpretation of Quantum Neural Networks', by SQA PhD Student Lirande Pira and QSI's A/Prof Chris Ferrie

  • 'Upper Bounds for the Clock Speeds of Fault-Tolerant Distributed Quantum Computation using Satellites to Supply Entangled Photon Pairs' by SQA PhD students Hudson Leone and Shankara Srikara and QSI's A/Prof Simon Devitt

  • 'On the complexity of isomorphism problems for tensors, groups, and polynomials III: actions by classical groups' by SQA PhD students Zhili Chen, Gang Tang and Chuanqi Zhang with QSI's A/Prof Youming Qiao and the University of Colorado, Boulder

...and many more.

Apply now and shape the future of quantum technology.
