The Bachelor of Business at UTS continues to be the state’s most popular business degree for the sixth year in a row, and also emerged as the second most preferred course overall in NSW for 2023 with 877 students listing it as their first preference to study, according to information released by the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).

The highly-sought after UTS Bachelor of Nursing also proved popular with students, coming in at eighth place in the UAC list.

The Bachelor of Business degree has been designed to give students a strong grounding in fundamental business concepts combined with the flexibility to customise the course and explore 10 majors, 32 sub-majors, and 5 extended majors, making it one of the most dynamic business courses in Australia.

Amy G, a commencing UTS Bachelor of Business student, says that flexibility was one of the reasons she chose the course.

I chose to study a Bachelor of Business at UTS as I liked the course structure and the way it is taught at UTS. I like the flexibility of the degree when it comes to majors, as the degree has a built in double major as well as options to change the structure of the degree.

– Amy G, Bachelor of Business student at UTS

With a strong focus on technology, the broader social impact of business and industry, and gaining real-world industry experience, the degree also allows students to combine their Business studies with degrees in Law, IT, Engineering, Sustainability and Environment, Medical Science, International Studies and Creative Intelligence and Innovation.

We’re continually evolving the Bachelor of Business with a strong focus on preparing students to take on real-world challenges and empowering them to influence and advocate for change from the very beginning of their career journey, whatever business field they choose to pursue,

We’re delighted to be welcoming our 2023 students and are excited to offer a range of additional opportunities to help students transition to uni life – from orientation activities, business-specific clubs and societies, as well a peer-to-peer mentoring program to help students find their feet and make the most of their time at uni.

It’s an exciting time to be on campus.

– Professor Sara Denize, UTS Business School Associate Dean (Education)

Students will also have a thriving community to look forward to discovering with more than 130 clubs and societies, start-up and innovation hubs, internship programs and career networking and support opportunities.
