Working out which law course is right for you can be complicated, but we’ve got you covered. Check out our guide below.

Get me to court

Ready to practice law? If you want to be a solicitor admitted to the NSW Supreme Court, you’ll need to do your Practical Legal Training. And you’ll be able to do it at UTS. The best bit? If you’re a UTS alumni, you’ll get 10% off your fees.

Back to Basics

Time to pivot! If you’ve studied a bachelor’s degree in a non-law related field, you can still explore the legal world. Join us with a Juris Doctor or a Bachelor of Laws. These are the two courses designed for you if you haven’t done any prior legal studies.

Hot Tip: If you’re looking for the fastest way to become a practising solicitor, the best course for you is the Juris Doctor, Graduate Certificate in Professional Practice.

Ready for Research

If you have a law degree under your belt, and you’re ready to dive into a specific area of law, a Masters of Law will be right up your alley. You can do this either through a coursework program or by research.

Time to specialise

Do you have a keen interest in Migration Law? What about Intellectual Property? At UTS, we have lots of postgraduate diplomas and graduate certificates that will get you to where you want to be.
