Congratulations to Master of Business and Technology alumna Bettina McMahon for her recent UTS: Alumni Award for Excellence, presented at the 2016 UTS: Alumni Awards in September.
Connecting the right information with the right people can make all the difference in health outcomes, and Bettina has played a critical role in transforming the way the Australian healthcare sector collaborates.
Her work at the National eHealth Transition Authority has contributed greatly to the progress of e-health in Australia; pioneering technology that will allow doctors to access an individual's health records through an online database.
Her ground-breaking work means that Australia is the first country in the world to have assembled such a large-scale, integrated piece of e-infrastructure with delegations regularly visiting from Asia, Europe, and North and South America to see it in operation.
