Professor Patricia Davidson - Eureka prize for Outstanding Mentor of Young Researchers

Professor Patricia Davidson, University of Technology Sydney was recognised at the 2016 Australian Museum Eureka Awards for scientific research when she won the prize for the Outstanding Mentor of Young Researchers. See link: 2016 Australian Eureka Prize Winners [opens an external site].

Professor Davidson is highly regarded amongst her peers and mentees for her generous nature and strong commitment to the development of early-and mid-career researchers. She creates an inclusive and safe learning environment for researchers to develop as scholars, and has continued to mentor and work collaboratively with many of her students once they have established their own research careers.

Professor Jane Phillips, Director, Centre for Cardiovascular and Chronic Care, UTS, being a long term colleague, friend and former student, accepted the award on Professor Davidson’s behalf.
