A flickering light reveals, first a body then a face, peering out of a sea of shimmering bubbles. Light plays across a dancer's limbs; those limbs then stir up more bubbles to create a new set of images.

This is Encoded, a large-scale "immersive aerial dance performance" that uses the latest interactive technology, and which emerged from a collaboration between Stalker Theatre and researchers from the University of Technology, Sydney.
