The AI Corporate Governance Program is an initiative of the UTS Human Technology Institute to broaden understanding of corporate accountability and governance in the use of AI.
AI Corporate Governance Program
The uplift challenge for Australia’s corporate governance systems to secure the potential benefits of AI systems and mitigate their risks is significant.
Regulators are increasingly focusing on the enforcement of existing obligations that apply to AI use and the Australian Government has also foreshadowed new legislative guardrails to protect against AI failure and misuse.
HTI’s AI Corporate Governance Program analyses current and emerging AI governance practices, providing organisations with resources and strategic insight to navigate this uncertain terrain while putting humans at the centre of change.
Emblematic of HTI’s approach to driving systems change, the AI Corporate Governance Program explores the policy settings, tools and capabilities required to facilitate effective AI governance.
With the support of philanthropic partner Minderoo Foundation, and project advisory partners KPMG, Gilbert + Tobin and Atlassian, HTI is working to identify the governance strategies that can support investment in accurate and effective AI systems, while ensuring safe and inclusive outcomes.
