Autumn session commences with Professional Skills Week in mid-February with classes starting in late February. Spring session commences late July.
Prospective students are welcome to apply in their final session of undergraduate study.
Applying as an international student
Applications can be submitted using the UTS online application system, or in hard copy either directly to UTS or through one of our many student recruitment agents worldwide. Our Student Recruitment Agents can discuss study options available at UTS and assist you in preparing and submitting your application.
All supporting documentation must be certified and submitted with your application, along with the application fee. Documents that are not in English must be officially translated.
Applications usually take four to six weeks to assess. An incomplete application and/or incomplete documents can delay the assessment process.

Applying as a domestic (local) student
If you are an Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident or a humanitarian visa holder you can lodge your application quickly and easily online directly to UTS. Visit the UTS Postgraduate Admissions page to learn about how to apply and submit your application.
If your previous degree/s were completed overseas, please submit your application to Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) as UAC can verify your documents and calculate your GPA.
Applicants must have completed a UTS recognised bachelor's degree, or an equivalent or higher qualification, or submitted other evidence of general and professional qualifications that demonstrates potential to pursue graduate studies.
The above qualifications must be in one of the following related disciplines:
- Pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences
- Biotechnology and bioinformatics
- Food technology, cosmetics, and nutraceutical
- Science or medical science
- Engineering and related technologies
Applicants who do not satisfy the above academic and additional requirements may be considered on the basis of general and professional qualifications that demonstrate potential to pursue graduate studies via submission of a CV.
