The duration of the Scholarship is the standard number of credit points required for completion of the Recipient’s enrolled undergraduate course up to a maximum of ten (10) sessions under any program or postgraduate course up to a maximum of four (4) sessions under any program.

Overview
To support commencing international students from Southeast Asia who wish to undertake an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at UTS in Sydney.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:
- Remain an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia); and
- Be a citizen of one of the following countries in the Southeast Asia region:
- Brunei; or
- Cambodia; or
- Indonesia; or
- Laos; or
- Malaysia; or
- Philippines; or
- Singapore; or
- Thailand; or
- Timor-Leste; or
- Vietnam; and
- Meet all admission requirements for the selected UTS undergraduate (including Honours programs) or postgraduate coursework program; and
- Commencing full-time and on campus (Sydney)2; and
- Be admitted into an UTS coursework intake between Spring session 2026 to Summer session 2028; and
- Must not be:
- Studying a UTS online degree or distance degree; or
- A recipient of other UTS scholarships or grants or the UTS Alumni Advantage Program for the duration of this Scholarship and be a government sponsored student.
Selection process
For undergraduate admission, academic merit in the qualification used as the basis of admission for entry into the selected UTS undergraduate program.
For postgraduate admission, academic merit in the most recently completed and recognised qualification or the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT Exam) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE General Test) (both tests accepted for admission into UTS Business School programs only) for entry into the selected postgraduate coursework program.

Other information
UTS will automatically consider from Spring session 2026 to Summer session 2028 intake all commencing international students applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at UTS in Sydney for this Scholarship. There is no separate scholarship application or documentation in addition to what is required for the course application.
