Overview
The Refugee Student Settlement Pathway Scholarship was developed under the Refugee Student Settlement Pathway (RSSP) program to accept refugee students into higher education. It aims to build a permanent, complementary migration pathway enabling refugee students to settle in Australia and access safety and life-changing educational opportunities.
Who is eligible
To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:
- Have applied and been deemed eligible for admission to a UTS undergraduate degree
- Apply and commence at UTS in the next available intake for the course after completion of their study used as their basis of admission; and
- Be intending to enrol in
- Have a Permanent Humanitarian Visa and therefore be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP)
- Be identified by Skill Path as being eligible for the Refugee Student Settlement Pathway program
Selection process
RECIPIENT SELECTION CRITERIA
- Academic Merit qualification as the basis of admission
- Motivation to succeed in their chosen course.
Skill Path will share all applications of eligible candidates will be presented to a Scholarships Committee, which will undertake the selection of Recipients based on the above selection criteria.
