See how UTS is celebrating Wear It Purple Day!
Wear It Purple Day is an annual event held on the last Friday of August to celebrate and support LGBTQIA+ youth. Founded in Australia in 2010, it encourages schools, workplaces, and communities to loudly and proudly show rainbow young people that they are seen, valued and safe.
The 2026 them is ‘Colours of Courage’ which seeks to celebrate the many different forms of courage shown by LGBTQIA+ young people, allies and communities every day.

A river runs through presents a major new body of work by Spence Messih that considers how both water and gender are monitored, categorised and disciplined. Moving between sculpture, print and film, Messih develops a material language shaped by tension, movement and contradiction.
When: Tuesday 5 May to Saturday 29 August
Where: UTS Gallery – Level 4 702 Harris St, Ultimo NSW 2007, Australia
