Supporting Your Year 12 Student

As HSC exams come to an end and university preferences become top of mind, many parents, carers and guardians have questions about what comes next.

Join us for an informative evening designed for families whose students are considering Engineering and Information Technology at UTS. Gain practical advice on UAC preferences, admissions pathways, scholarships and key dates, while learning how to help your student make informed decisions as preference deadlines approach.

Following the presentations, enjoy light refreshments and take advantage of dedicated time to speak directly with the Dean, Professor Peta Wyeth, Associate Dean, Heads of School and academic staff about admissions, course options, career aspirations and the opportunities available through UTS.

Whether your student is ready to finalise their preferences or still exploring their options, this event will help you better understand the pathway to UTS and feel confident supporting them through the next stage of their journey.

During the evening, you'll:

  • Learn how UAC preferences, admissions pathways and scholarships work
  • Gain practical tips for supporting your student through university decision-making
  • Hear from academics, industry representatives, current students and recent graduates
  • Discover how UTS Engineering and IT degrees prepare students for future careers through industry-connected learning and real-world experiences
  • Meet the Dean, Professor Peta Wyeth, Associate Dean, Heads of School and academic staff who shape our courses and disciplines
  • Have the opportunity to ask questions and receive personalised advice about your student's interests, study options and future pathways
