Project lead: Timothy Boye, Faculty of Engineering and IT
Duration: 2021 – 2022
Exploring the experience of students with disability, looking for and participating in work-integrated learning internship placements.
People with disabilities face many barriers to study and work, and are underrepresented in these areas. This project looks at the intersection of these experiences where students with disabilities look for and complete internships as part of their degrees. The research will take a participatory approach and have the students themselves go through a design process to identify their own experiences and those that are common among them, develop problem statements from those experiences and ideate ideas for change and innovation.
