At UTS we recognise slavery as a grievous breach of human rights. We are deeply committed to not only meeting our legislative obligations but to being an active part of the movement to eradicate modern slavery.
What is modern slavery?
Slavery is often hidden in homes, in restaurants, on farms and on building sites.
Modern slavery is when coercion, threats or deception are used to exploit individuals and deprive them of their freedom.
UTS and modern slavery
UTS is determined to play a role in the prevention of slavery.
