TD School researchers in Stanford’s Top 2%
An index of the world’s top researchers known as ‘Stanford’s List’ is catching people’s attention; the October 2023 data has been viewed over three million times. Professor Kees Dorst, Associate Professor Sara Lal and Associate Professor Tony Huang from TD School are on the list.
We asked them, “What does it mean to you to be on this list?”
Tony replied, “It is both surprising and happy to hear this. It is an honour that my name is listed together with other top researchers in the world. It is always a good feeling to be recognised for having done something meaningful in the past.”
Likewise, Sara commented, “It is an honour to make it into a list with highly recognised scholars. This has also been picked up by some professional bodies I contribute to and made it into their news. Being on the list is recognition and standing in the discipline and helps grow recognition and credibility as an individual researcher.”
As Tony reflected on having achieved such high recognition of his work, he added
My research is largely collaborative. So I thank my research mentors and collaborators for their guidance and support.
– Tony Huang, Director of Data Science and Innovation
It’s a wonderful feeling to be working with such highly accomplished researchers, whose work routinely gets picked up, not only by other academics, but also in diverse policy settings, as revealed by additional analysis with dimensions.ai and Overton databases.
