Luna Leao Gloria

Dear colleagues,

Being an international HDR student at ISF has shown me how welcoming, supportive and collaborative our community is. Here, I learn every day, not only through our research, but also through how each of us experiences our PhD journey.

Through my research on participation, governance, inclusion, and justice, I have developed a strong awareness of the importance of meaningful engagement and ensuring that diverse voices are heard.

I am therefore seeking nomination as an HDR Student Representative with a genuine interest in continuing to learn from each of you and bringing our perspectives, challenges, and ideas to ISF and UTS.

I also recognise that this role offers valuable learning opportunities. In return, I am committed to sharing the lessons and insights gained through this experience with the HDR community.

Georgia Willard 

My name is Georgia Willard, I am running for ISF Student Representative of 2027. I am a second-year PhD candidate, joining ISF in November 2024. I am excited for the opportunity to give back to our community through participating in the Institute Board and Learning and Development Leadership Committees.

I have been representing ISF HDR students at the Graduate Research School HDR Forum on a monthly basis since April 2026 and would love to continue this role in the professional capacity as Student Representative. I was also delighted to co-host ISF Paper Hour this year, bringing together students at all stages to discuss academic topics across our transdisciplinary institute.

I am proud to be an ISF student, and I will ensure your concerns are heard and addressed, and relay information back to our cohort transparently. Thank you for your consideration, I hope to be able to represent you in 2027. 

Jordan Roods

I’ve been part of the wider UTS community since the start of my undergraduate degrees in 2017. I’ve learnt a great deal across nearly a decade spent at UTS, and it is now time I gave back by serving as an ISF HDR Student Representative. 

I bring a rich pool of personal and professional experience to this role. Beyond my research background, I’ve run student seminars for the UNSW Faculty of Law, worked as a program facilitator for a youth mental health NGO, and served as a legal aid at UTS’s community legal centre, Anti-Slavery Australia. These experiences have taught me what people, from all walks of life, need from a representative: someone approachable, who listens carefully and follows through. I plan to do this and more as a HDR Student Representative.

3. Choose the election you wish to vote in
4. Select the candidates you wish to vote for
5. Check your vote
6. When you are ready, choose 'submit' to record your vote.

Conduct

Participants in elections (candidates, their representatives and voters) are expected to follow the same high standard of conduct and behaviour during the campaign process as is expected on campus generally. The behaviour of election candidates and their representatives should meet expected standards of conduct. See Code of Conduct for UTS Elections.
