Any student enrolled in a postgraduate coursework or research course (listed in the UTS register of award courses, with a minimum one year full-time or equivalent duration) can vote in this election (UTS By-law, clause 6(1)(c)). The nominated candidate must, at the close of nominations for the election, have at least 2 years full-time study (or equivalent) remaining until completion of their course at UTS (UTS By-law, clause 10(b)). Restrictions Students who are also members of academic or professional staff of the university (continuing or fixed-term) are not entitled to vote in this election (UTS By-law, clause 6(2)). |

Harvey Billingham
Hi, my name is Harvey Billingham, a Master of Clinical Psychology student and PhD Candidate in the Faculty of Health. I'm standing for re-election because I believe UTS decision-making should be transparent, and postgraduate students should have a genuine voice in decisions that affect them. My PhD research into how policy is implemented, and the real-world challenges it creates for healthcare workers, has shown me how easily good intentions get lost without proper consultation of those on the ground. As your incumbent representative since April 2026, I'm ready to keep pushing for that accountability for a full two-year term.
Cameron Craig
I’m a postgraduate Strategic Communication student in the Faculty of Design and Society, standing for UTS Council to ensure student perspectives are heard where the University makes its biggest decisions.
After a career in communications with Apple and Amazon across Australia, Asia and the United States, I came to university to undertake my postgraduate degree. That experience has given me a fresh appreciation of the opportunities UTS provides and the challenges students face navigating university life.
If elected, I will advocate for clearer communication between students and University leadership, stronger links between study and industry, and a student experience that recognises the needs of undergraduate, postgraduate, domestic and international students.
I also serve on the Asia-Pacific board of a professional communications association, focusing on university and student engagement. I would bring a practical, independent approach to Council: listening, asking difficult questions when needed, and representing students with energy and respect.
Susie (Shuang) Zhong
As your Postgraduate Student Representative on the UTS Council, I will campaign and protect your interests by influencing and improving the current corporate governance framework. I was a former international student in 2007-2010 and I’m currently a full-time student with full-time work commitment in the Juris Doctor program. This combined experience gives me first-hand insights into the unique cultural, financial, and academic pressures faced by our diverse student community.
My extensive experience as Company Secretary in not-for-profits and large cooperatives equips me with the boardroom skills needed to navigate complex institutional matters. Furthermore, my role as an independent Audit and Risk Committee member for two private tertiary institutions demonstrates my understanding in higher education compliance and strategic oversight.
I will ensure transparency and accountability in university decision-making, improve postgraduate study experiences and advocate for both local and international students. Vote for proven leadership, governance expertise with lived student perspective.
George Tulloch
I'm George Tulloch, 2026 Postgraduate Officer at the UTS Students' Association. I'm finishing a Masters (Research) on Physics AI for environmental noise, and I start my National Industry PhD next year.
I decided to run because of the devastating cuts pushed by Andrew and Uni Management, which have brought our university and our degrees into disrepute. Our supervisors and teachers fear for their jobs, our facilities sit unused, and nobody is held to account. UTS Council should contest these decisions. The time has come to fight back.
Student conditions are staff working conditions. Every cut is a supervisor, librarian, or counsellor we lose. Solidarity between students and staff isn’t optional; I have stood, and will continue to stand, with the NTEU and unions against the cuts.
