Welcoming new students and celebrating successes in TNE partnership

The Faculty of Engineering and IT is pleased to welcome the arrival of the third cohort of students from Sydney Smart Technology College (SSTC) as part of our ongoing transnational education partnership. This milestone marks another significant step in our collaboration, underscoring the commitment of both institutions to providing high-quality education and fostering global connections.

We are excited to welcome these new students to the UTS community, where they will embark on an enriching academic journey and gain valuable international experience. Their arrival highlights the continued success of our partnership, which has grown stronger with each passing year.

In addition to welcoming the new cohort, UTS is also honoured to host lecturers from SSTC in China for the second professional development program at our campus. This initiative reflects the shared dedication of UTS and SSTC to academic excellence and the continuous professional growth of our faculty members. The presence of these esteemed educators enriches the learning environment at UTS and strengthens the ties between our institutions.

As we look forward to the future, we also take a moment to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the second cohort of SSTC students, who joined UTS in 2023. After completing their first year of study at UTS, these students have achieved an impressive average course grade of 79.25%, with the highest average grade reaching an exceptional 92.25%. These results are a testament to their hard work, the rigorous academic standards of both institutions and the robust support systems for transnational students.

Moreover, we bid farewell to the 10 students who recently concluded a study tour program at UTS. Their enthusiasm and engagement during their time here have been inspiring, and we are delighted to hear that many are keen to return to UTS for further studies. This eagerness to continue their educational journey with us speaks volumes about the positive impact of the UTS experience.

UTS and SSTC continue working closely to create meaningful educational opportunities that bridge cultures and prepare students for global careers. As we celebrate these milestones, we remain committed to the success of our students and the ongoing development of our partnership.
