‘Spirit’ tells the story of a baby wombat who becomes trapped in a dangerous bushfire and is threatened by a terrifying Fire-Spirit.

[Flames and smoke fill the scene. The baby wombat looks frightened as the Fire-Spirit looms.]

But as all seems lost, the baby wombat sees a vision of the now extinct Thylacine, commonly known as the Tasmanian Tiger.

[The Thylacine appears, glowing gently, and looks at the wombat with encouragement.]

The Thylacine encourages the baby wombat to find the courage within herself to face fear and take bold steps to find safety.

[The wombat gathers courage, dashes through the burning bush, and escapes to safety as the music swells.]

[The Thylacine fades away. The baby wombat looks back, safe, as the bushfire subsides. Music fades out.]
