The role of the Right to Information Contact Officer is to:

  • provide assistance in making an application to access information
  • liaise with applicants regarding existing access applications, and
  • provide advice regarding review rights
  • respond to general questions and inquiries.

Right to Information Coordinator

The role of the Right to Information Coordinator is to:

  • make decisions regarding applications to access information, and
  • make decisions regarding authorised proactive release of information, and
  • ensure that UTS meets its obligations regarding reporting under the GIPA Act.

The role of the Right to Information Coordinator is delegated by the Vice-Chancellor to the Director, Governance Support Unit (or a formally delegated acting director). The Vice-Chancellor may also make one-off delegations if required.
