The role of the Right to Information Contact Officer is to:
- provide assistance in making an application to access information
- liaise with applicants regarding existing access applications, and
- provide advice regarding review rights
- respond to general questions and inquiries.

Right to Information Coordinator
The role of the Right to Information Coordinator is to:
- make decisions regarding applications to access information, and
- make decisions regarding authorised proactive release of information, and
- ensure that UTS meets its obligations regarding reporting under the GIPA Act.
The role of the Right to Information Coordinator is delegated by the Vice-Chancellor to the Director, Governance Support Unit (or a formally delegated acting director). The Vice-Chancellor may also make one-off delegations if required.
