Site Editors access restored
Current state: Resolved
Previous state: Site Editor access to Drupal was temporarily removed to allow for remediation of the new Drupal editor. This steps was taken to prevent further accidental content degradation.
If you continue to experience issues accessing Drupal, please submit a Service Connect ticket.
New Site Editors issues
1. Collapsible content - Resolved
The Editor strips out styles in Collapsible content, and it doesn’t allow user to apply certain styles.
Workaround: you can switch to source code mode and manually add styles via html, then Save and Publish.
2. Anchor link - Resolved
Anchor link feature is missing from the new editor. The new editor also strips out anchor link tags so it breaks existing anchor links when user edits the page.
3. Copy from Word
Previously we had clean clipboard copied from Word feature that cleans bad code from Word, it’s now missing on the new editor. The default editor still cleans those Word code for us, we will investigate and improve this feature.
4. Style dropdown
On the new editor the Styles dropdown now allows multiple style applied to the same content. It’s confusing to the users and it breaks the layout when certain multiple styles are applied at the same time.
5. Video transcript
In the new editor, videos display their transcript as a part of content in the textfield. That makes the content editor long and messy which is hard for users to modify other content.
6. Maximise editor window
In the old editor there was a Maximise editor window feature which was very helpful for users to edit a field of heavy content. It’s now missing from the new editor.
Access Denied error
Access Denied error is returned when a Drupal editor tries to save a change to a page. Most of the time the page might contain specific terms like "location:".
What can I do?
You can replace "location" with "venue" then the issue will be resolved. If you still get the Access Denied issue, Web Specialists have an alternative method to publish your content. Or you can log a ticket via Service Connect
Logged-in users lose access
Some logged-in users lose access to the edit ribbon while navigating through the site.
What can I do?
Clear your cache and reload the page. The edit ribbon should reappear. If the problem persists, please log a ticket via Service Connect
Our developers are currently working hard to fix these issues. We'll share progress updates on this page.
