UTS Support Services for all students
Program Structure
The First BASE Program offers students personalised support in the form of 1:1 catch-ups with experienced UTS students who are trained as a First BASE Coach. Students can book in for a 30 minute catch-up with a Coach (which fit around their class schedule) and can talk about anything related to their first year at UTS. Students are also welcome to drop in anytime to chat to the Coaches between 10am - 4pm, Tuesday to Friday, in the UTS Careers space (level 4, building 2, beside the lifts near the exit to the Alumni Green).
The First BASE Coaches are there to answer questions, help students' problem-solve their challenges, ensure they know about and can access support services, and celebrate their wins!
Alongside the 1:1 catch-ups, the program runs social gatherings every weekday from 12:30pm-1:30pm. Students can come along and chat to the Coaches, First BASE students and enjoy fun conversations, snacks and games. This is a great way to meet and get to know other students in their first year at UTS.
