Usha Sridhar is a Sripathi Gold medalist from Andhra University ( topped in all Science departments' results and achieved University First). She worked for Ph D under the able guidance of Prof. J Gopala Krishna, a world renowned specialist in Analysis, Complex Variables and Proof Theory .
Usha's PhD work is in Nonstandard analysis and Approximation Theory. Later she moved to Sydney University in 1991 and took up teaching. She earned her second PhD in Neural Networks, under the guidance of Prof. Bill Gibson in 2002.
Usha worked in actuarial field for about 8 years, constructing/auditing spreadsheet models of Project Finance and Lease Finance deals.
Usha is passionate about teaching and is engaged in teaching Maths and related subjects at various universities for more than 30 years.
