Shannon Lin joined UTS in 2019 as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Health. She is the course coordinator for the Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management, and is passionate about improving the care for people with diabetes especially those from disadvantaged groups. Her research focuses on diabetes in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities, diabetes and health literacy.
Before joining UTS, Shannon worked in as a diabetes educator and dietitian for University of Wollongong, Sydney Primary Health Network, Diabetes NSW & ACT and Aboriginal Medical Service. Shannon has been involved in many diabetes working parties and committees incl. the Australian Diabetes Educator Association Program Organisation Committee.
