Maryam is the UTS IP and Commercialisation Manager. In her role, she manages the UTS patent portfolio and assists both academics and professional staff with negotiation of IP arrangements in research contracts.
Maryam has over 14 years of IP and commercialisation experience, having worked both in the private and public sectors. She is a registered Patent and Trademark Attorney and is passionate about knowledge dissemination and creating impact from research – whether it be through protecting the IP and commercialising research, through partnerships, or through open innovation.
Maryam has a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering (Hons) and a Masters of Biomedical Engineering. She also holds a Masters of Industrial Property (Law) and a Diploma of Innovation Management. Maryam is currently completing her Juris Doctor at UTS.
Maryam is currently a Fellow of the Instiute of Patent and Trademark Atttorneys.
