Mark is a registered nurse who has worked in a wide range of mental health settings, including inpatient units, community mental health centres, consultation liaison services, and emergency departments. Mark has also worked at Uniting Sydney Medically Supervised Injecting Centre (MSIC) as the inaugural mental health coordinator and has taught mental health nursing at UTS, the University of Western Sydney and the University of Sydney.
Mark is close to submitting his Ph.D. which focuses on the formation of a consumer action group that aims to increase MSIC’s service users’ involvement in service delivery and planning. Mark is planning to continue to be involved in co-production and action research that endeavours to empower vulnerable and marginalised people.
