Lesley Parker


Lesley is a former journalist who has worked in New Zealand, Australia and the UK, covering fields ranging from politics and the courts through to personal finance, consumer affairs, financial markets and business.

Key roles included political correspondent for the NZ Press Association in its Wellington press gallery; London correspondent with Australian Associated Press; Foreign Editor, AAP; Deputy Finance Editor, AAP; journalist with the Australian Financial Review; and writer with the Sydney Morning Herald 'Money' section.

As a magazine editor, she was awarded Silver Serif and Gold Serif awards by the Australian Institute of Professional Communicators.

In 2013 Lesley joined UTS Business School, where she now works to showcase its teaching and research by sharing its stories with mainstream media, providing content for the School's website, social media and newsletters, and producing the annual Think magazine.
