Fiona has worked in many diverse areas of photo media over the past eighteen years from medical industry to directing photography in mainstream magazines, and as a photo media artist, exhibiting work until 2006, represented by Multiple Box Gallery in Sydney/Cologne. She has also taught Media Arts and Design since 2001 at TAFE, UNSW and most recently UTS.Fiona has completed a Master of Arts, Photo media (COFA, UNSW) and prior to this she was awarded a Bachelor of Fine Arts(Hons), majoring in photography (COFA, UNSW). She has also completed a Diploma of Fine Arts and postgraduate certificate of Tertiary education.Currently a PhD candidate in trans/forming cultures at UTS Fiona is investigating how identity is performed through photographic profile representations on Social Networking sites.View Fiona's profile in the Transforming Cultures Research Centre.
Fiona's ongoing research interests include photo media, new media, photographic language, gender, online landscapes, identity, and social facade.
