Eijaz received a PhD (in Entrepreneurship and Innovation) from Curtin University, Australia; Master in Management (Strategy) from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand; and MBA and BBA in Marketing from University of Dhaka. He taught in Bangladesh and Australia (Asia Pacific International College) before working at UTS.
Eijaz’s major research expertise and interests are: Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Strategy, Management and Organisations, Organisational Behaviour, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Business Planning, Business Research Methods, Behavioural Modelling. Eijaz has published papers in Education+Training, Entrepreneurship Research Journal, International Journal of Sociology and Social Policy, Journal of Developing Areas, IIMB Management Review, Corporate Ownership and Control Journal, Global Business and Economics Anthology, International Journal of Value Chain Management. He has also presented papers at several significant conferences. He was the Chief Editor of the Business Review: A Journal of Business Administration Discipline, Khulna University. He is currently a member of the Small Enterprise Association of Australia and New Zealand, SEAANZ.
Eijaz has worked on several research projects relevant to this project: Australian regional entrepreneurship and innovation development with Curtin University and WA government; food quality and safety issues in Bangkok with Asian Institute of Technology and Thai government; Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) under University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Education (MOE), Bangladesh and World Bank; Shrimp value and supply chain in coastal area in Bangladesh, with Khulna University and DFID.
