Overview

The Property Council of Australia Property Economics Prize is funded by PCA to encourage academic excellence in the 16262 Honours Research 1 in the Property Economics (Honours) course (C09063) for the 2014 and 2015 academic years, and the 16658 Valuing Projects in the Bachelor of Property Economics course (C10310) thereafter. The prize consists of a $1000

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for the Prize, a student must:

  • Be enrolled in the Bachelor of Property Economics course as outlined in the table in the Conditions of Awards at the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building the year for which the award is made; and
  • Have completed all year 3 subjects (as listed in the UTS Handbook following normal course structure) and obtained minimum weighted average mark of 70 over the subjects; and
  • Have completed 16262 Honours Research 1 in the year in which the award is made for the 2014 and 2015 academic years; thereafter students must complete 16658 Valuing Projects in the year in which the award is made; and
  • Demonstrate values that have a synergy with the vision and mission of the Property Council of Australia.

Selection process

The selection criteria, in priority order, for this Prize includes:

  • Academic performance
  • Sound knowledge and evidence of conducted research in the Built Environment
  • Demonstration of an understanding of property and contemporary research design skills
  • Demonstrate values that have a synergy with the vision and mission of the Property Council of Australia
