Genetic approaches to target chlamydial infections in animals

A PhD project is available in the Chlamydia Research Team headed by Dr Huston at UTS. The project will combine development and implementation of genetic approaches with bacterial pathogenesis and virulence studies to improve our understanding of this devastating disease. The project brings together molecular biology, microbiology, cell culture and bacterial pathogenesis approaches.
Who is eligible?
Students eligible for UTS PhD and with domestic entry are eligible for this scholarship.
Enthusiastic Science Honours or Masters graduates with experience in microbiology or cell culture.
Some experience in cell culture would be of benefit.
Willingness to work in dynamic and diverse team environment where the team culture and team based work approach allows all to succeed.
