IML hosts a variety of different events where UTS and the broader scholarly community can share learning and teaching research and scholarly practice. These events include:
- The UTS Teaching and Learning Forum is a the major annual event for the whole university to share ideas and innovations in learning and teaching in a practice-oriented university
- The Casual Academics Conference and Workshops provides a key opportunity for casual academics across UTS, particularly those new to the university to engage with issues of importance to them and share scholarship and best practice while building collegial networks
- The ATN Assessment Conference alternates with the UTS Teaching and Learning Forum every fifth year. This occasion enables participants to explore research and scholarly practice in designing, implementing and supporting innovative and enduring assessment for students and teachers in higher education institutions
- The Phenomenography and Variation Theory Symposia for researchers and research students are an annual event hosted by IML to provide a venue for presentations of proposals and work in progress, workshops and opportunities for informal discussions with colleagues and other research students.
