Timelines
Nominations closed on Wednesday 9 August 2023.
Nomination process
- Nominees are responsible for coordinating and submitting their nomination. For teams, a coordinating nominee must be identified.
- Each nomination requires a nominator, who is not the nominee or part of a team nomination.
- Chancellor’s Medal for Research Excellence: Prior to submitting the nomination, the relevant faculty or institute needs to be consulted first. The nomination will be selected by the faculty and institute, who will provide their endorsement to the Research Awards project team. Faculty and Institute Contact list is available here.
Award category | What you need to do to nominate | After you nominate |
Chancellor’s Medal for Research Excellence (Medal) | Discuss your nomination with your faculty/institute | The faculty/institute will endorse ONE nomination for the Medal and submit to the Research Awards project team |
All Award categories except for above | Submit your nomination using Symplectic | The Research Awards project team will send nominations to the relevant faculties and institutes for endorsement |

Complete your submission by filling out the selection criteria and nomination criteria checklist in Symplectic. Please ensure you attach any forms required prior to submission, including the Nominator's Support Statement below.
