Indigenous Nation Building International Workshop Series
We invite you to attend an international workshop series to meet with Australian and world leading thinkers about self-determination, Indigenous nation building and community governance.
Sovereignty. Sustainability. Wellbeing.
Nation building for transformation.
Jumbunna Institute, UTS & Native Nations Institute, University of Arizona are delighted to bring the highly successful ‘January in Tucson’ Indigenous governance program from the University of Arizona to Sydney.
Research from Australia and North America shows that self-determination is the only strategy that has worked for Indigenous communities being able to achieve their social, cultural, economic and community development goals.
These workshops apply this research in practical ways and include real life case studies, small group problem-solving, and interactive lectures based on stories of Indigenous peoples world wide.
Anyone interested in learning about innovation and success in Indigenous nation building, governance and self-determination should attend. We welcome Elders, Indigenous community member, Indigenous nation leaders, community organisation personnel, government personnel, and other allies to learn, share and reflect on what practical governance success stories might mean for your community and your workplace.
