Driving new and innovative approaches to networking.
The heart of tomorrow’s networks
Software Defined Networks (SDN) will be at the core of future networks into 5G and beyond. Our state of the art SDN Lab is home to the latest in technologies, powering research and development for the next generation of networking solutions. Our research and development spans three key areas: architecture, protocol and algorithm development; performance investigation, analysis and modelling; and software development and prototyping of SDN applications, controllers and Network Function Virtualisation (NFV).
The SDN Lab is equipped with advanced equipment to enable hardware-based, emulation-based and simulation-based studies for SDN and WSDN. Among our facilities are a variety of high-performance servers and SDN switches.
